Lattice Simulation Lab
The planned Simulation Laboratory (SimLab) for Lattice Gauge Theories is a joint effort by DESY, the Juelich Supercomputing Centre JSC. and the Cyprus Institute CaSToRC. The central goal of the SimLab is to provide expertise and support for the Lattice research community in the efficient use of High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources for large-scale numerical simulations of lattice field theories. Planned activities include
- Research on algorithms
- Development of optimized application kernels
- Performance models and analysis of application requirements
- Analysis and development of HPC architectures
- Data curation and Latfor Data Grid (LDG)
- Training
