Metadata
Metadata schemas for ensembles and gauge configurations are defined by the following XSD documents

Gauge Configurations
Gauge configurations are stored in binary files, see

Web Services
The (SOAP) API of the metadata (MDC) catalogue and file catalogue (FC) services are specified
by the following WSDL documents:
Note that these specifications will soon be changed to a REST API,
see documentation of the new prototype implementations of
MDC and
